KaiLani Catamaran Clearwater Beach

WOW!! What a great time we had aboard the KaiLani Catamaran on our sunset cruise on Monday 9/18, THANK YOU Capt. Mike & Brad for a truly great experience! Thanks to Anita Fabrizio who, though she couldn’t make the voyage, made the initial inquiry, and to Brad for putting it all together – boy is he a true multi-tasker, pouring drinks while hoisting sails and posing for photos!

It was a wonderful evening, a cloudless blue sky gave way to a beautiful orange/red sunset and we saw the Green Flash – yes we have witnesses! There was a brisk wind that evening that filled out the sails and had us flying along, swaying in the breeze (or was it from the drinks!?!); I enjoyed their famous sangria, and there were plenty of beers & wine on deck and I applaud you all for keeping the spills to a minimum, not wanting to stain the fiberglass.

We had a nice turnout with 24 members attending, with good representation from most of the major Clearwater Beach hotels: Sand Pearl, Opal Sands, Hilton, Wyndham Grand, Hyatt and also the Visitor Centers at Pier 60 & the Mall – and we were pleased to welcome newcomers to BACA: Robin & Jenny from Opal Sands & Esther from Wyndham.

Everyone was having boatloads of fun! CC, Rafael & Ron took a bunch of photos that are soon-to-be-posted on our website, with some good shots of Camille & Kristi from Tropics Cruises (looking forward to our next fun time @ sea with them); shots of those fun-loving folks from FunRide Rentals, Sandy & Armand (aren’t they just crazy??) and Ron & Rafael in their leisure wear.

Capt. Mike & Brad were in all their glory surrounded by all our mermaids, what a life these guys are lucky to live! Please support them and KaiLani, they have always been very good to me and my guests over the years and I’ve received nothing but positive feedback from all who’ve sailed aboard. Thanks again to all for a great time and thanks also to our friends up in the Marina Cantina Restaurant, mgrs. Elliot, George & Steve (remember they hosted BACA 8/8/16) and especially our server, Andrea, who really hustled and made us feel welcome, both pre & post-cruise. We all needed a break from Irma’s mess and this event was just what was needed to cast those blues away.
