Silverking Tap House Clearwater Beach

Thank you to all who attended our Silverking Tap House event on Monday 7/31, we had 17 members attending and were fortunate to make the acquaintance of 2 new members, Jerry Hval of Luxor Limousine and Jane Rodriguez, GM of the Bamboo Beach Club here in Clearwater Beach.

Thank you to Silverking owner Brian Shriver and his lovely daughter Brittni who tended bar for us that evening, she really kept things flowing along smoothly.  What a great little watering hole up on the second floor looking down on the Pelican Plaza Courtyard and Mandalay Ave. below.  Silverking Tap House is a fun place to hang out, where else can you get a Bud Lite or Shock-Top for just $2 All Day?  And I was quite surprised since the last time I was in that they have doubled their size by expanding into the adjacent space and building out a game room complete with a pool table, foosball table, video golf, electronic basketball & darts.  Thank you for doing that as Clearwater Beach was previously bereft of any game room.  Thank you to the Clearsky Café’s Greg Lore for catering the sandwiches and pizza… yummy…  whenever I’m in the mood for a pizza I order it from Clearsky!   Great restaurant, breakfast, lunch & dinner, well-rounded menu, good for families.

While we were at Pelican Plaza visiting Silverking, we also popped in on a handful of nearby merchants to see what’s up.  Thank you to Drew next door for telling us all about his new Escape Room that is in its final stages of readiness for the general public.  Something else to do on a rainy day or when you’re sunburned off the beach.  I like the idea of escaping from the runaway train, kinda reminiscent of the Denzel Washington movie Unstoppable.

Thank you to Lee & Melissa for showing us around the Hub & Sim Center (remember BACA last visited there 10/18/2016).  It was pretty cool watching the ladies race the Formula 1 cars around the track, they would never get to go that fast driving around Clearwater Beach!  And that Boeing 737 Jet cabin mock-up always amazes me when I see how realistic it is, I remember when we flew in it on a flight between Orlando and Tampa over my house!   And don’t forget The Hub is a great place to hold a small meeting or to have business services taken care of and also a great place to relax on their hydrotherapy massage beds!

Thank you to Gary and Duane, owner and manager respectively, at Blinker’s Steakhouse, for inviting us in for a drink and thank you Gary for the Lobster Bites that Alleyne from the Hilton enjoys so much.  Blinkers only opened what about 3-4months ago and already they are making quite a name for themselves here on the beach with GREAT Steaks & equally great seafood!  Adam & I had the good fortune to dine there and we’ve both sent many a guest and have received nothing but positive feedback.

Thank you to Mgr. Joey & our server Andrea (and also Mgr. Michael Caracappa–not present at the Brown Boxer for the nightcaps at the end of the evening.  If you’re looking for live rock music, sports on TV and drinks until 3AM, you can hang out here.

Thanks again to all in attendance and to the merchants for your generous hospitality.  BACA Members, please remember to direct your hotel guests to our new friends’ and fully support their businesses.
